I think there is a difference in the cable that you would attach to your TV and your hook-up to the service (that cable for which you pay 50 to 100 more) that makes the difference. You just don't use the standard cable if you want a great picture. I know you pay extra for High D service. Around here I understand it's about $7.00 more per month. (we have Time Warner cable service)
