I didn't even have a remote and you had to get off your butt and go over to the TV to change channels

We still have our Mitsubishi 19" tv that I bought in 1983. The guy tried to sell me an extended service contract on it, and I politely declined. 24 years later, it's still going strong.

Except, no remote.

It's in my daughter's room, and she gets around the remote issue by using the tuner on her VCR. Still has to get up to adjust volume or to turn it off.
