Profit is not the be all and the end all in the real world. If there was actually a free market then such mechanisms would work to drive down excess profit with the frictionless, costless, perfect information world of the theoretical free market. As it is, Dell makes shitty computers that are unreliable but they have a big name and a good reputation from earlier years of building better computers. Dell has pretty good customer service but that's mostly required because it makes shitty products. Why is health care uniquely suited to non-profit monopoly systems? That's your unwarranted interpretation. I'm talking about REALITY and you're talking about ideology except when it comes to FREE MARKETS and you acknowledge that they do not exist in reality. I'm talking about doing something RIGHT NOW.
