Frankly, I don't trust any news media much, RMF. Sorry to disappoint.

Usually the slant offered by Fox News matches my own world view, but I know they go for ratings as much as the next guy, especially on the opinion shows.

Before I was born, my mother majored in journalism. She told of a journalism class in which a man with a gun burst through the door and shot the professor. After a respectable bit of bedlam, the professor got up and said, "Report on what you saw." There were as many different versions as there were students in the classroom.

I base my conclusions more on 'what' is reported, rather than 'how.' If somebody flies planes into buildings and somebody else starts building a theory that this is an inside job plotted by Bush, I pretty much discount everything else that I hear from that source.

Have you seen anything like that lately?

Here's something else that bothers the heck out of me: A bunch of criminal anarchists spray painted the Capitol steps and the Capitol police did NOTHING to stop it. This was not widely reported, although I may have missed it. I had to depend on an email to inform me of it. I checked it out on Snopes and found nothing, but learned that it was in fact true.

I assure you my entire delegation, Speaker Pelosi, and President Bush are hearing from me on this. Vandalism is crime, and should be treated as crime not as a first amendment issue.

I read everything I can get my hands on, but I find that the local daily is just so much fishwrap. Time, Newsweek, US News, and too glossy to be reused as fishwrap, and aren't worth the price of a subscription. That's why I only read them in Doctor's offices for free.
