I hope she likes them. I found some neat kinds of coral and packed everything in some cute colored boxes I found in Claire's ( a girly store with all kinds of glitzy thingies.

I packed her off some sand and many baby shells and pebbles so she can make her own little Ca beach in a see-through zippered pouch.

Her sister had to have something too so I sent her a T-shirt with a glitter face of a sea otter.

My friend and I had lunch on the Monterey wharf after climbing all over rocks and iceplant covered sand dunes, etc. ( I climbed and she sat on a bench and meditated). I felt like a kid again when I climbed all over rocky shore sections of Lake Champlain. I could have gone on for hours.

Anyway, we saw a sea otter feasting on some seaweed pods while we were eating lunch. All of a sudden, two nasty sea gulls swooped down and hovered over him with their wings flapping wildly. The robber gulls were relentless and stayed until the otter gave up and tossed them his food...............a marine ambush!

I thought the otter might dive down and get a rock to throw at them.

It's a brutal world out there!

:>)
