Five Ton Order of Z Trim to Lower Fat While Maintaining Taste in Meats and Dairy
MUNDELEIN, Ill., Feb. 1 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Z Trim Holdings, Inc. (Amex: ZTM - News), has received a five ton order of Z Trim powder from Kraki, a market leader for ingredient-based solutions to the South American meat industry.

"We expect sales of Z Trim to expand exponentially in our markets," said Caio Agmont, Director of Business Development for Kraki. "This is a fairly small order compared to what we anticipate."
The sale has led to discussions between Z Trim Holdings and Kraki about establishing a plant in Brazil to produce Z Trim from the tapioca plant, a plentiful crop in the region.
"We have a strong interest in pursuing the construction of a plant that can make Z Trim from the agricultural by-products of tapioca," Agmont said. "We believe the tapioca plant will produce a fine Z Trim ingredient, and help to deliver the type of economy of scale regionally that would expedite use of this very important ingredient."
The order was placed by Kraki, in part, for resale to a Brazilian food company that makes and markets over 2500 different products from chicken, turkey, pork, and beef, not to mention pasta, margarines and desserts with over 70,000 direct points of sale in Brazil and around 200 foreign clients in the four corners of Europe. Additional uses for the order will include the development and reformulation of products from other food industries, such as dairy.
Z Trim is beginning to impact markets around the globe, according to Alejandro Espinola, Marketing and Development Manager for DKSH, the international marketing firm contracted by Z Trim Holdings for sales outside North America. "We're seeing increasing demand for Z Trim as the solution to maintaining great taste while still providing healthier finished foods in all the global markets," Espinola said.
News of the latest sale to Kraki comes on the heels of several impacting news stories concerning Z Trim.
