I don't think they are all that flat. I don't particularly think Monday will be an up day....be kinda surprised if it is....but the VIX dropped on three advancing days. Although fractional, there were new Cycle Highs in the SPX each day. Pulling just enough away from the moving averages to warrant a retrace Monday I'm guessing.

DISCLAIMER:

Don't have my usual charts up. If I recall correctly there should be quite some resistance 1450 or so on SPX.

Something else to keep an eye on is ACL as it's breaking above intermediate resistance here. Of note as well is what appears to be a fairly clean fiver off the top followed by a so far 3 wave advance.
