Nah; I think I am gonna borrow your idea and run a truly moderated version. I know what you mean about not banning; I've only done it with 4, mice elf, and only have 2 on ignore. But sometimes, it becomes necessary. SI doesn't really need another thread on this tropic, but it does need one that is serious.

I admit to not having the time to read every post on this subject. The last few posts by longnshort though mildly provocative appeared to be provocative only to environmentalists in the religious zealot sense.

I understand the need to censor those who want science to be involved in science. When you censor those who are not members of the faith you undermine the credibility of the forum.
