"who nominated 'Tookie' Williams ?"

Nobel Prize nominations

Williams was reportedly nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize every year from 2001 to 2005. Nominations came from Mario Fehr, a member of the Swiss Parliament [20] and four times by Notre Dame de Namur University Philosophy and Religion Professor Phil Gasper [21]. William Keach, a Brown University Professor of English Literature, nominated Williams for the Nobel Prize in Literature.[22] There are no specific elegiblity requirements for a Nobel Peace Prize, and any college humanities professor or national legislator may make a nomination. Nobel Prize nominees are not announced by the Nobel Committee for a period of fifty years. The Nobel Prize may not be awarded posthumously, therefore Williams is no longer eligible.
