Maurice, you are free to believe what you want no matter how erroneous it is. However, as I said before I was there. By there, I mean participating in meetings with IJ and other top management people discussing this very issue.

Sony was not defrauded. They went in with their eyes open. They provided immediate manufacturing expertise in return for valuable CMDA knowledge and expertise which would provide them with a leg up on other competitors. Very few on this board realize how much more difficult CDMA is than TDMA and GSM. If QPE was successful (and it largely was) it was a foregone conclusion that the division would have to move out of San Diego for cost reasons and Qualcomm would bail. Qualcomm would have sold out their 51% share to Sony. It didn't work out this way because Sony was unsuccessful creating their own designs and decided to pull their engineering talent back to Japan.

But, you can believe what you want.
