Yes there is. I converted all my 35mm slides to jpg's by buying a digital converter and sitting down & snapping them one by one. There are other ways also.

A scanner that can scan negs, it takes a long time to do it, I believe there are services on the net that can do it for you or take it to a photo store. I scanned some negs with my scanner, it's time consuming and the results were not that impressive, maybe I need a higher end scanner.
