So the best time to buy a lake house is in the fall.


I would have bought one last summer/fall if there had been one we liked at a good price. There was a house we liked but they weren't desperate and wanted 2004 prices.

Good luck as I understand all about keeping the significant other happy, plus its nice to have a special retreat.

This is going to be our primary residence. If we wanted a vacation home I'd definitely wait for more bloodletting.
