<<We are traveling tonight and I moved my bin of foul weather and cold survival gear to the truck. -50 wind chills expected. We are -8 and -35 wind chill as I speak.>>

When I came home on leave in '70 I took my bride to be hunting. Hit -20 with a stiff wind out of the West. Car froze up while driving home!! Left me with an 8 mile walk into the wind to get help. Some really nice people gave me a ride. That happens in the flyover states.

We had really good ice in 1995 and I bought a one man Ice Ranger. Really cold. I hit a small lake about 10 days in a row. Came home with blue feet every day and now getting some feeling back. The 'gills and crappie averaged close to a pound. Had to drill over the 16' channel, hold the bait at 14', fish shows up on the finder. Raise the bait to 12', lower it to the bottom and back up to 14' for a hit.
