OK.. Americans are dying and Iraqis are getting slaughtered.. At this point, whether Iraqis are up for Democracy is a big question.. Theoritically possible but practically a big experiment.. So far, the current way of doing what we have been doing has been a big failure.. To add more force to keep doing the same is not going to work.. We (meaning current admin.) don't want to bring in others in to the process so what is left ? Where we are heading it seems is eventually to call it quits after more death and mayhem and leave Iraqis to sort it out.. Or may be, since the egg is already broken, and since we can't have a nice sunny side up, to make a mess of an omelet, bomb Iran before we leave.. As I said, only time will tell.. p.s. Ed, all of this is a just a way to kill this rainy Saturday afternoon here.. As if anything I say actually matters one way or the other..
