Here's what I have right now for energy and energy-related stocks.

ADB.V dug myself a big hole with this one but may get back out if ng manages to get back up in the fall. Also takeover possibly in works.

ASPN.OB small losing position

BSIC.OB good small Montana producer currently participating in a moonshot wildcat at Xmas Meadows. Very well run. Best bet.

BVX.TO Solid North Sea properties coming on line the next few years with exploration upside in the North Sea and Alaska. Best bet.

CAX.TO management screw up a lot but their Tunisian properties are probably good enough to overcome that. High risk high reward.

CDH.TO Bringing New Brunswick gas field on line shortly plus drilling Dawson Sands wildcat that is low probability but huge upside. Other exploration spuds in NB and PEI this year too. Best Bet

CLL.TO 'Nuff said. I'm in at 70 cents average and hope for another double. Best bet.

CNR Another high risk high reward play that has been having problems getting their Georgian (Caucusus flavour) oil and gas out of the ground into pipes and tanks. Also gas production in Kazakhstan. Accumulate on dips and sell into news. Big PR on Manavi 12 coming this month.

CNS.V Developing oil fields in India. Another high risk high reward.

CVI-A.TO Oil fields in Yemen just coming into full proiduction as facilities get built this year. Good management, good properties. Best bet.

DZR.TO little Canadian/American gas producer. Blah. Small position.

EPEX American ng producer that serves as a proxy for natural gas prices. The valuation is very attractive now post recent offering -- should make $20 sometime this year, maybe more given the right weather. Best bet.

ERHE.OB Total long shot. Amazing properties in the Gulf of Guines, huge float, main shareholder is a Nigerian billionaire. Could go bust or hit $20.

EUG.V Small postion only. Developing an offshore Spanish oil field into a gas storage facility plus has a Tunisian exploration concession.

GBE.V Another gas producer, Canadian this time, that needs gas prices to go up.

HTE-UN.TO My only remaining trust, with lots of Canadian oil and gas, a refinery in Newfoundland, and even some oil sands. Trades on NYSE too.

OIL.TO Great little North Sea producer that has rigs tied up for years, lots of production coming on line this year, and many prospective North Sea exploration plays. Just picked up 8 more blocks. Best Bet.

PBG.TO My other oil sands play, with the THAI technology presently undergoing a field trial that if it pans out will revolutionize oil sands production and put the pps over $100. Also plenty of Canadian conventional production plus some Colombian properties under development by PMG of which they own plenty. Best bet.

PSX.TO Another little Canadian ng producer.

PTEN American driller at a very attractive price right now.

SE.V Bringing Turkish ng fields into prodcution as I type plus lots of exploration properties in the North Sea, Syria, Morocco, etc. Best bet.

SLV.V Developing CBM and unconventional gas plays in the Canadian Maritimes and Prairies.

SME.TO Another CBM play that I am as deep in the hole with right now as I am with ADB.

SPI.V Yet another CBM developer, this time in northern BC

TGL.TO Oil producer in Yemen and gas producer in Canada that should break upward this year based on numerous new fields being brought in production plus several wildcats including one on a new property in Egypt that spuds shortly and another ina new block in Yemen that is currently under way. Best Bet.

TMY Developing an oil field in Kazakhstan that is probably good enough to overcome management. Accumulate on dips.

TREN.OB Developing CBM fields in Oregon and Washington. Attractive price right now. Best Bet.

ZED.V I'm down quite a bit on this one right now, but they are getting enough business these days that it should overcome management's concentration ong ranting themselves options before profitability is achieved. I hope.

I have probably too big a bet on natural gas, but I looked long and hard at the fundamentals -- steady depletion, increasing demand, it takes twice as many wells to get the same production as 10 years ago -- and all it will take is another cold spell or hot summer, or a few hurricanes to spike prices north again as the current surplus is quickly burnt up.

All my trusts are post Flaherty apocalyptic....I did hold my THY in the end, as you say the dividends are good.....but it is DAY.UN that is performing well.....the cap gains far out weight anything I would be getting in dividends from THY.....

....if oil zooms again so will the trusts....but for how long I can say...the clock is ticking.....
