I didn't ignore that. However, those warming cycles were all within the narrow band I talked about, which is defined by the mean plus or minus 3 sigma. However, in the last 50 years, the CO2 levels exceeded the upper control limit and has continued to accelerate above it. That tells us that the last 50 years is unique in the 800,000 year history taken by the ice cores. In statistics, we would call that an outlier, if it was just a blip and then it fell back below the control limit. But in this case, we call it a systemic change because it jumped above the upper control limit and stayed there and is even continuing to accelerate. That is alarming.
