god is just a convenient creation of man,used to justify killing more than anything. Very often true. However, the God of the Bible mostly warned and denounced His own people Israel for every sin imaginable, including shedding innocent blood. This God also condemned most of their kings and priests and prophets -- the very ones in power and who had the ability to write on behalf of their culture. So, for what corporate reason did they invent, in their writings, a God that mostly condemned them and their ways?

I suspect you may be even less familiar with the bible then I. Personally, in my lifetime I have read the entire bible cover to cover (new and old testaments) three times. For those like you that care to ridicule it, how do you explain that a peoples, you probably consider inferior, wrote such a document that though written by many different hands all comes together in a cohesive fashion and EVEN TO THIS DAY is totally relevant, though cultures have changed. In short, I have come to believe that there is ONLY ONE WAY such a book could be written, and that is through the power of the Holy Spirit. jdn
