Thank you for the kind words, which are humbling indeed.

I got into my field by observing failures caused by trying to get the same results using the same methods over and over again in different places (which in the natural world means different conditions).

When we started to figure out different methods that worked in different places, that's when life started to get interesting.

One colleague blurted something like "We're doing nature a step better by doing it OUR way."

NO, no, no, no, no. You only have success by knowing nature's laws and foibles, and tailoring your activities to them.

That's the part that environmentalists forget. They think everything man does is against nature, but it is only by following nature that we can succeed.
