The NRA was established after the KKK was banned. The former KKK members went and joined the NRA instead, then pretended they were something other than what they really were. The NRA is also the gun lobby which promotes more and more guns in our society, and more and more profits for themselves regardless of how many people get killed. They promote themselves as law-abiding but that's a laugh. Many of their members are dangerous nuts.

The NRA has posted a phony history of themselves all over the internet to try and cover up this KKK link. It is definitely a racist org. There are almost no minority members in the NRA.
And as for being founded in new York, there are racists in New York too. Plenty of them. Did you see Gangs of New York? They used to slaughter immigrants. And had even less use for blacks.

ALmost every KKK member is also a NRA member. Think about that. Then do some history reading. The KKK used to be a legit org. They used to practically run huge parts of the deep south and other ultra rightwing areas of the country. They went too far with their racism so they ended being banned. But lo and behold what emerged out of ther ashed of the KKK? The NRA. A different org for sure, but including all the same KKK members, plus others with various gun and enforcement related interests and obsessions.

"We're proud to be rednecks" said NRA's #2 leader last year on the radio. "Redneck" really means racist southern white. The connection is definitely there.
