Deflation becomes a realistic possibility only after inflation has surged so high as to threaten to destroy the glue that holds the system together. We got a taste of this in the 1970s.

We are nowhere near that point now IMHO. But it is coming IMHO.

I see this board also is a lot less active since he left. Certainly thee is so much more relevant stuff too talk about than the deflation smokescreen.. No doubt he is a hard worker, reads a ton and supports his views with data. I do respect the guy. Though he certainly isn't ever going to make any investment decisions for me either<g>
