On alloying steel, stainless and otherwise - there are infinite variations, using every metal you can imagine, also elements that are not metals, phosphorous and silicon and lord knows what else .... at UNAM [university in city of Mex] there are entire long shelves filled with very fat volumes on effects of each combination experimented with, some of these books over a hundred years old ... reason i know this, is i used to hide out in that section waiting for a girl -g-
