"Arms" does not mean military weapons. Arms means what a citizen realistically needs to get by. And in those days, things were very different. We had only muskets and the Revolutionary War was fought by citizens. We have no more citizen wars, thank God. And we can't afford to tempt one. That would make us more like Iraq. You like that idea? Every home has an AK-47 and any nut case can go on a killing rampage? Timothy McVeigh should have taught you righties a lesson. You need some adult supervision once in awhile. You're not to be trusted with too many guns. and the Police agree. The Police do not like the NRA, though some are members.
