My observation was not so much about the bible (lord knows I'm no bible scholar, pardon the pun), but more how it (and the koran) is used to justify killing. And I agree with Stan that it was not most likely written with that in mind, but that since it was written by men it can be easily twisted by man to serve whatever evil purpose he so requires.
