Historian douglas brinkley was on imus this morning. He was talking about reagan after lebanon saying we could go in and destroy lebanon but i have to keep my eye on the prize and that is working with gorby who he considered a friend to rid the world of soviet nukes in the post cold war phase. He was quoted as saying we can always find a war in the middle east some other time. Fast forward to bush low hanging fruit in iraq and see the comparison between reagan and bush admins. Friedman said last week the penalty for the US in iraq would be equivalent to three months in jail and that is something we could live with. But with bush the penalty is being viewed by hisstory as a failed president so he fights on. I have grown to hate cheney so--i think i hate him as much as geode does. I hate folks that wont fess up to mistakes while posturing--that fat fuck with his evil grin. I hate him as much as i hate that arrogant prick bob macnamara in an earlier time. And a subsequent mea culpa book doesnt change that nor will it from that fat bastard.
