Why would you categorize environmentalism 'to the left'?
I know plenty of conservatives interested in conservation, preservation of environment and habitat and resources.
It's a much bigger issue than politics, imho.

"I have nothing against lns and if I did not receive so many complaints, I would not have taken any action."

I don't recall reading any complaints about him on this subject except one recent one from Wharf Rat about him posting off topic. I suspect most of the members of the subject have posted off topic occasionally.

Perhaps the complaints were from leftwing extremists who prefer leftwing sycophant subjects and they want this to become one too. In that case you might as well ban me too because I am a moderate and many of the leftwingers that post here consider 2/3 of the population of the country to be right wing extremists. Having a member of the left half of that group is way too provocative for them.

"I started the thread because I consider myself an environmentalist, so my bias is to the left - global warming as such"

I drag interesting and pertinent articles here because I am very interested in the subject. I am probably more concerned about the long term viability of our society than many of the limousine liberals who need to be seen as compassionate. As such, it is important to judge things like global warming from scientific basis rather than a religious context in which heresy deserves ostracism.

"lns just seemed to have annoyed too many for too long."

Confrontation is his style. When people engage in meaningful debate with him, their consideration is returned. Sometimes he makes that difficult by his style of initiating "discourse".

If he was annoying people, those annoyed may not be people who are adding a great deal of value to this subject.
