Why does the NRA lobby for the right to own military weapons? Nobody has any issue with gun safety, but the NRA opposes smart guns and had to be dragged kicking and screaming to support trigger locks. Nobody has any problem with marksmanship or hunting rifles or home defense handguns. But the NRA wants more, much more. They want the 2nd Amendment to mean all (white) people have a right to bear machine-guns and bazookas.
