Toyota want hybrids in 10 million units by 2010. With 15 lbs on average per unit, that alone equates to 75,000 tons of new nickel. I am not sure how much nickel some of the large vehicles will require.

Clearly you are right about Ni for the long term.

I am just thinking that no bull market take place without large correction.

Ni has gone from $5 to $19 in 14 months. That is a huge move for a commodity. Should come back testing support..

Unless of course there are absolutely no hidden source of Ni inventory...then maybe it will continue straight up.

As you say, we shall see.
