I haven't seen the shows you mention, but I agree with your point, and it goes far beyond the CBC. Many stations seem to thrive on cheap "documentaries" about ghosts and UFO sightings. I believe there is even a whole cable channel reserved by the CRTC for this kind of crap. One has to wonder if there is any hope for mankind when even in the richest of countries, most are glued to Hollywood gossip, and people's imaginations gone wild about alien abductions, crashed UFOs, and house hauntings. How can mankind begin to confront its problems or elect politicians who will do so when they are so dumbed down? James Randi is the one who needs his own television channel.
