Then why is it that you idle, King George II, calls them allies and moderate states? I'm never idle, ST, always full on fast forward. The fact that they may be allies is a function of national self interest not a function of Danish style democracy. Or do you think most Americans have a special place in their hearts for the Saudis? I certainly don't, and linking them to the discussion is a non sequitur, but that is what happens when your mode of thought depends on your glands rather than on your lobes. Failed states? Didn't think we were talking about failed states. A failed state to me is a place akin to Rwanda, Somalia, etc., and clearly Iran is not in that category. But it is a dictatorship, and the BS you endorsed about Iran becoming more democratic, is exactly that, male bovine manure. It has regressed since 2000, amigo, and you know it.
