Thanks, new knowledge-lol.

It is interesting how the asian cultures are moving to the forefront of cultural evolution while other cultures languish.

I think it has to do with the asian cultural heritage that spawned the kind of wisdom evidenced by the great Confusious, Taoism, and Buddhism.

The difference between this type of thinking and say aspects of the middle east and western cultures is that Asian cultures put the emphasis on the development of individual growth and wisdom and are sort of existential in a sense.

My step kid and I once had a conversation where he felt Buddhism was the easts existentialism. His room mates and long time girlfriend are/were all asian so he had a good handle on their cultrue. He graduated from Western Washington university in biochemistry.

Middle east and western cultures lean more towards obeyance to a (tribal?) leader or dogma and do not emphasize learning. Asian cultures have certainly had their share of nonsensical ideas, but the above ideas always remained in the collective consciencness waiting to be liberated.

The only culture I know of, to compare to the Asian culture would be the ancient Greeks (my personal heros).
