This is very true. But what you need to show is that this is all that is there or that it is the dominant force in the country. Those who've been there say otherwise.

I could cherry pick a lot of atrocities in the US too...The morning news yesterday in NYC was about girl who threw her newborn out of the window.

Why do you assume that picture's from Iran? It could just as easily have been from several of our Islamic allies.

It's hard to tell whether that's from Iran [other than the link text].

"Among the countries that still practice stoning are Afghanistan, Iran, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, Sudan and the United Arab Emirates. Other Islamic countries denounce the practice as inhumane and indicate that the Qur’an provides no grounds for such a vicious practice. Those who practice stoning claim that it is demanded by Islam and have gone so far as incorporating it into their countries penal codes."

If it's in UAE or Saudi Arabia, we don't care since US companies have oil-related contracts. If the US got some oil contracts in Iran, we wouldn't care either. Afghanistan is interesting, under the Taliban stoning was evil stuff, under the current government which we support, it doesn't deserve mentioning.

No one cares what goes on in Nigeria or Sudan.
