Ahmadinejad *cannot* have nukes. He does not command the military. And no one has produced any credible evidence that Iran is after producing nukes. Do you really think the Russians are so insane as to help Iran, right at their doorsteps, get nuclear bombs> But hey, if you are so worried about it, why don't you lobby for a deal that will bring the Iranian nuclear plants under joint American supervision? Iranians have said they are open to it.

Krushchev showed recklessness when the US showed fecklessness right before the Cuban missile crisis. Folks like K and now A, need a strong stick. Folks in power in the old USSR turned out to be the politburo. In Iran it is the Mullas. As with USSR though we shouldnt be afraid to talk to prevent an outcome that neither side wants.
