What Democrats Do

Blogs for Bush

As the co-author of the book on Democratic corruption, I can assure everyone that this is par for the course in Democratic ranks:

<<< PHILADELPHIA (AP) -- State Sen. Vincent J. Fumo, one of the most powerful and controversial figures in Pennsylvania politics, was indicted Tuesday on federal charges he used a nonprofit group for personal and political gain and defrauded the state out of $1 million.

Many of the 139 charges stem from Fumo's ties to a nonprofit agency in his South Philadelphia district.

Authorities had been investigating the Citizens' Alliance for Better Neighborhoods for more than four years. The group was started by Fumo aides in 1991 to serve the neighborhood where he grew up.

Prosecutors said he used state employees and the nonprofit group to fulfill his every whim - including cleaning his 33-room mansion, spying on his ex-wife, and fighting a dune project that might block his view of the ocean.

The charges included fraud, obstruction of justice, conspiracy and tax offenses.
(emphasis added) >>>

Thiis also a "What Media Bias?" piece, because in all that, do you see an indication of what party Fumo belongs to? You have to get to the 8th paragraph in the story to find out that he's a Democrat.

That aside, this is how Democrats behave - they act as if the rules don't apply to them and commit crimes, often, simply because they can and they know that the MSM won't really call them on it until they are indicted...and even then, there will probably be some sympathetic stories on this creep. From top to bottom, the Democratic party is corrupt...the only thing which has changed is that in today's world, the truth will come out, thanks to the internet and the blogosphere. The corrupt cockroaches have always been able to scurry out of the light, but now they're running out of places to hide.

UPDATE: Another Democrat state senator took a bribe...

Media Shrugs Off Massive Graft & Corruption of Chicago Dems

posted by Gateway Pundit

The AP claims that the people just "shrug off" the massive graft and corruption at City Hall.

Could it be because all of the crooks are democrats?

The AP reports:

<<< A mayor (Richard Daley-democrat) overseeing an administration under federal investigation. An alderman (Arenda Troutman- liberal democrat) who just got hit with a federal bribery charge. Four politicians who served time for corruption and want their old jobs back.

All are candidates in this month's municipal elections in Chicago, a city legendary for graft.

"At this juncture, people just shrug it off as more Chicago," said longtime political consultant Don Rose.

At the top of the Feb. 27 ballot is Mayor Richard M. Daley (democrat), who is running for a sixth term amid a corruption investigation.

Federal officials have nailed dozens of people, including Daley's former patronage chief (Robert Sorich-democrat) and a former city clerk (James J. Laski- democrat), in an investigation that started with bribes paid to city officials for trucking work and expanded into a broad look at City Hall hiring practices. The mayor has not been charged with any wrongdoing. (Also... Joseph Mario Moreno -democrat, keeping clout list)

Daley blames the wrongdoing on a "few bad apples" and is expected to sail to re-election against two lesser-known political figures who have tried to make an issue of the corruption. >>>
