I'm only short for a week or so at a time. And now I also trade overnight positions that I mostly close by 10-10:30 each morning which are helping a lot in consistent profitability. Then in the middle of the day when an unexpected trend change could happen I have a small position and can comfortably get on with my other work like teaching :) So far this new NQ/QQQQ position is working out, but will probably dump some of the futures contracts in about 1/2 hour just for peace of mind. Seems to work better for me than stops.
