Well, Chris, most of the 9/11 terrorists were Saudis. Saudi citizens live under a monarchy where their freedoms are limited. I have to believe that when a group of people are denied freedoms and they live in poverty, they become very suseptible to cult-like groups like Al Qaeda filling their minds with a bunch of non-sense. In the Middle East, we are the Great Satan. Anything goes wrong in the Middle East and Americans are the first to be blamed. Like it or not, we're always the first to be blamed. Now I know what you'll say. If we didn't have a history of meddling in the Middle East, then maybe we wouldn't be the first to be blamed for every Muslim problem. And that is why I want us to get off the oil, so that we never again feel that we have to meddle in the Middle East.
