It seems to me the Israeli diggers --- archaelogists and engineers and politicians & etc --- believe an old legend and that is that the Ark of the Covenant is hidden underground in the vicinity of the Aqsa Mosque/Temple Mount and that the group or nation that recovers it and possesses it will become INVINCIBLE!!! Apparently, the Muslims believe this legend too. And that is probably why they don't want the Israelis to dig for it!!! LOL! LMAO!!! ================================== On a more serious note, I believe the Palestinians fear that "bugs" would be surreptitiously planted underground to monitor their meetings in the mosque and much, much more..... The Muslims have every right to believe that Israeli incursion on their holy ground violates the sanctity of it. So, their claim that the Israelis are deliberately annoying the heck out of them is not without merit. Apparently the Israelis intend to strike when the iron gets hot, so to speak. Don't forget the Zionists and Mossad are masters at playing dirty tricks !!!
