To: Taro who wrote (324896 ) 3/8/2007 7:30:06 PM From: Emile Vidrine Respond to of 1576973 The path to the knowledge of God is through Jesus. Hi Taro. The following comment moved my heart in compassion towards your confusion about knowing and denying God: "The thing I never did is denying God. I always when asked stated that IMO that whole issue is way over my horizon. I may not believe enough to confirm and certainly don't know enough to deny. As I said, way over my head." The specific thoughts that caught my attention me were: "that whole issue is way over my horizon" and "way over my head". Comments like "over my horizon" and "over my head" imply that you believe the knowledge of God comes from some esoteric knowledge and intellectual ability. This is a concept that comes from the ancient Pharisees and Scribes as well as from many of our modern theologians. God the Father totally destroyed this false "religious" concept by sending his only begotten son into the world to reconcile fallen and sinful man with God the Father. Jesus alone bridges the impassable chasm between God and man; a chasm created by man's sins. Jesus does this by dying for all the sins of humanity in one total act of love on the cross. Through Christ, fallen sinful man can once more know God and approach God through Jesus. The knowledge of God and the reconciliation of man rests upon man accepting God's simple sacrifice of his Son for our sins. That simple act of faith is not 'over your head or your horizon'. Through faith in the life, crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus, God has simplified salvation for all men, even you and me. Read the simple eyewitness historical accounts of the disciples and Apostles recorded in the New Testament and you will find solid, truthful, living accounts about the life of Jesus and the meaning of his birth, life, crucifixion, and resurrection. Just wanted to share this with you so that you could never again honestly claim that the knowledge of God is 'over your horizon and over your head'. Peace Emile
