The lady who runs the local Chevron Mini-Mart is apparently Muslim. She only wears a head scarf, however, and I don't find that to be threatening or objectionable.

I think if she was totally covered except for the eyes, I'd buy my gas and snickers bars elsewhere.

Thanks. I had a similar reaction in 2001 when I saw a slightly less fully concealed Muslim woman orbiting the check in que area at SEATAC airport. There were thousands of people waiting to get checked in and she just went round and round.
