Rudy won't survive his own Repugnican primaries, as the other candidates come after him and his LONG record. He's VERY gay-friendly, pro-choice and pro gun control. McCain has hired the same guys who accused him of being crazy from torture and having a black child out of wedlock in the North Carolina primary for Bush. Rudy will give those artists MUCH more material than McCain provided.. I wouldn't be surprised to see a third party conservative candidate come forward to represent the weepy pro-choice, "cultural conservative" bible thumpers it looks like the Repugnicans want to exploit without representing this election cycle.

Chris Matthews on IMUS this morning predicted that rudy would win the republican nomination. He says blue collar city folks and rural visitors to NY and other cities credit Rudy for making the nations cities habitable again after years of neglect. As a New Yorker, i can attest to the fact that within days after Rudy became Mayor NYC changed for the better in very noticable ways. First sign was crackdown on squeegie guys who met cars coming into manhattan from NJ as well as graffiti and its glorification as some sort of urban art form. Rudy also took on the race baiters like Al Sharpton who became personal no grata during his tenure. Last week when biden used clean to describe Obama he was thinking of that sleazebag Sharpton. Rudy is even less PC than that. He treats all folks the same but will now cow tow to the sharptons whatever their ethnicity or color. He is a real conservative except on the social issues and the religious right needs to accept a man who personally may be socially conservatve but who believes that each man be judged by merit and the govt should stay out of the personal lives of adults.
