When my bros sisters in law all get together(holidays) 3 of them are Union teachers, all they talk about is trying to get more money. Never about the kids, class, test scores, just money. They joke about working 6 hour days, taking vacations during the school year. Imagine taking 2 weeks off in October at the start of the year, then the kids get 2 weeks of substitute teachers doing nothing.

Southern CA is the place for teachers.

I have a family member who is a long term kindergarten teacher. Teaches basically 3-4 hours a day, off for the summer and every conceivable holiday, spring break, *winter* break plus a limited number of *personal days*, and great benefits who earns $80,000/year.

Interesting.......she works 3-4 hours. What school in S. CA only meets 3-4 hours per day? I want to apply.

I was making $80K my third year out of school. How long has he/she been working to make that much?

She complains of being underpaid all the time.
Whines about having to prepare her *lesson plans*.

Do you know what a lesson plan is? What's involved in its preparation? Tell us all the details.....inquiring minds want to know.

The union indoctrinates them early and often, IMO.

Kind of like the GOP does with its neocons, huh?

Local radio station commercials have a near constant whining by the teacher's unions. A few years ago, it was only during the election cycles. Now it is a constant drone.

I'm somewhat surprised that the union membership tolerates this kind of expenditure.
