Thanks for this news story, ilaine. It shows the NYT is not totally biased to the left.

Would the Post or the WT ever publish an article so unflattering to a Republican pol?

The mean tone of this article surprises me, but what was said is accurate, imo. Kerry was not a particularly attractive candidate.

I voted for him because I vote straight D, but he didn't inspire or excite me and I was surprised he got as close to Bush as he did. He did, and still is, displaying an inability to rebut both accusations made against him personally and/or his own verbal mistakes. I never saw the kind of intellect and diplomacy skills I hope for in a president.

At any rate, what is your point in bashing Kerry? Are you still trying to support the allegations made in the swift boat book?

I felt the same way about Gore for a while (irrelevant because his day in the sun had passed). He tried so many ways to resurrect himself in the lime light, that he was becoming a national embarrassment. However, his global warming stuff seems to be getting some mileage so we may see more of him.
