Are you pretending you think Reagan & Bush are the smart guys who by their actions blow a hole in my argument? Seems so.

You are offpoint now, and becoming convoluted, IMHO.

I'd said I "think the average citizen is certainly getting a mixed message. The willingness of many to say we need not fight in Iraq is at the root of it."

That, if you hadn't noticed, was directed at you among others.

You pretend Reagan and Bush took Keynes to extremes, when in fact they simply did not believe in his theories. Even as a practical matter, they did not take his theories anywhere. Congress remains essentially responsible for spending.

Bush's failure to veto anything put forth by a Republican congress in no way logically could indicate that deficit spending is worth a damn, despite your contrary comment. It may only indicate that Republicans are of course just as bad as Democrats in spending too much of the peoples money.

I'd made three points in stark contrast to your original post, and those points stand.
