Why do I have the feeling that quad core for the desktop/laptop is not going to take off for awhile...I would think the cost of making quads is to expensive compared to dual cores in dual socket configs...

but QC volumes will be an insignificant trickle, kind of killing the waterfall...

There might come more than insignificant trickles of QC out of five-digit wspm next year. Maybe not much into the double-digits of AMDs output, but enough for Server and Client premium-segments. I don't see any disruption in waterfall-cascades.
