You know, I don't think protecting the border is really the kind of issue that loses votes. Lots and lots of people, including democrats, want the borders covered and true border security in place. If the question is what to do with the 11 million illegals now in the Country, then President Bush looks more like the democrats than he does the Republicans...at least to date. Polls show legal hispanics are not in favor of illegals coming across the border...
