There are days when I think the same thing. On the one hand, the fanatics in all the religions sure do bring alot of hatred and pain to the common folk. On the other hand, religion can be a powerful force for creating societies that work really well. When religion is at its best, it can create rules by which people live that fill in the gaps where governmental laws leave off. When it's at its worst, you get Islamofascist terrorism or Evangelical warmongering or Jewish settlements.

I guess I get tired from all the fighting between religions.....each one claiming to be the true religion. If religion were truly a reflection of humanity's spirituality, it would be great........unfortunately, too often, religion is used like a bully pulpit to be lorded over people.

Two minutes of thinking of slogans for energy independence:

* SUV’s are bin Laden-mobiles
* Ethanol, America’s Cartel
* Gas Hogs equal 10 cents a gallon to Terrorists
* Keep the money at home, buy alternate fuel
* We grow our gas
* Hybrids fight terrorism
* US innovation beats Arab blackmail
* Walk a mile for the war on terrorism
* Plug-in Hybrids make America safe
* Buy clean American energy, not dirty ME crude

Weak... but off the top of my head. A real marketing guy could sell this.
