That's why the US invaded Iraq because it does not consider that there exists international law. Bush returned us to the law of the jungle of the 19th century. Although I would have to agree with your interpretation of internat'l law as perceived by the US, however, as for the rest of the world, the consensus is contra and they prefer a more civilized law as codified by rules and regulations contained in the UN charter,the Geneva Convention, and other international protocols and standards. They have advanced a bit from the days of Conan the Barbarian.
