you don't get out much do you ?? you think you have all the sterotypes down, but are clueless. In my travels I find Northern whites WAY more racist then southern whites. I find northern blacks way more uppity then southern blacks, I find blacks and whites more friendly to each other in the south

I've seen more racism, and acceptance of racism in the New York metro area than I have in VA (I've lived in both areas for over 15 years each). Not necessarily racial hatred (although you get just a bit of that in many places) but things like concern that an area was "going black" and that crime would go up and property values down, or a general negative feeling about black people as a whole (even if specific black people might be liked).
