Newt and McClintock have that in common (direct and forward approach), and yes, I think it does scare away some voters and a whole heck of a lot of "special interest" groups.

I'm with you there, and thanks for starting this thread.

If nothing else, it will bring out the issues in the Republican election, which is more than you can say for the democrats.
