the White House has made a decision that war is going to happen.”

Gee. The majority of Americans are against the current war so Bush/Cheney/Rice/Perle/Kristol/Wolfowitz et al are going to start another one?

OK, heard this: the URGE TO SURGE is, by itself, going to cost an additional $30 billion. The 21,500 is nonsense because this many combat troops requires tremendous support forces. I suspect, all of the support forces are going to be predominantly east asian mercenaries/contracts.

So Norquist, who advocates drowning the government in his bathtub, should be delighted by this wholesale Republican bankrupting of said government.

If the US government doesn't have a sou or a farthing to its name, will the country actually exist any longer? Will China and Japan and everyone else pitch in to give us credit or will they require Chapter 13.

I wonder if Grover has contemplated that. Probably but I suspect he has a bunker in his backyard and will hide out with a case of Twinkies until the anarchy subsides.

:)

Pelosi and Reid should remind the JCS that the oath they take is to defend the Constitution and the American people, NOT the current occupant. That Congress hasn't authorized any hostilities with Iran, and the military undertaking such at ONLY the President's command will not be tolerated, and the penalties for doing so would be harsh. They should do this publicly.
