There's a whole lotta griping in public about the urge to surge...from the military leadership. On top of that Murtha has been listening to many of them for years now.

The US military just can't throw up its hands and say it's not our fault. That doesn't make any sense. If it's not able to do the task its given, it needs to figure out what to do to get the job done.

Otherwise, what's the point of having a brain?

Bush keeps saying that he listens to the commanders and they, for example, keep saying that they didn't need more troops when they clearly did. So if the commanders are listening to Bush and Bush is listening to the commanders...who the hell is doing the thinking?
